is DAVID A. LaRue?
David A. LaRue began practicing law in 1987. His practice became
increasingly more focused on advocacy for the elderly and their
families. In 1996, LaRue became one of the 5,000+ members
of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). The NAELA
membership is comprised of attorneys in the private and public
sectors who deal with legal issues affecting the elderly and disabled.
Members also include judges, professors of law, and students. Some
of the issues NAELA members assist their clients with include,
but are not limited to: public benefits, probate and estate planning,
guardianship and conservatorship, and health and long-term care
planning. The NAELA organization’s vision is to be the recognized
leader inspiring and empowering attorneys to enhance the quality
of life for the elderly.
In 2001, LaRue established a new law firm to focus even more energies
on service to the elderly and their families. DAVID A. LaRUE,
ESQ., P.L.L.C. is a law firm that practices law in only the
following areas: Probate Matters, Estate Planning, Long-Term Care
Planning, Business Matters, Real Estate & Elder Law. LaRue’s
firm is designed to serve his clients as well as all referred clients
in just those limited areas. LaRue works with clients to
provide comprehensive estate, long-term care and life-care planning
services. He also helps individuals and couples develop their
personal estate plans with consideration given to investment issues,
income tax concerns, insurance needs, employer-sponsored investment
plans, and retirement fund distribution issues.
In 2006, LaRue re-associated all of his non-legal service
endeavors (since 2000, LaRue has held life and health insurance
licenses (now in (Ohio, WV, PA, VA and NC)) with the LUTTNER
FINANCIAL GROUP, LTD. of Pittsburgh, and now works very closely
with their team of experts in taking clients into the lifetime
economic acceleration process to help them achieve financial growth,
protection, and success.
David Andrew LaRue was born on December 23, 1960 in Steubenville,
Ohio, and spent his childhood there, graduating from Steubenville
High School in 1979.
LaRue received his Bachelor Arts degree from The Ohio State University
in 1983. In 1987, he received his Juris Doctor
degree from Duquesne University School of Law.
LaRue’s legal career began in 1987 as a Staff Attorney for
Advance Financial Savings Bank in Wellsburg, West Virginia, where
he handled real estate closing, collection suits, and regulatory
compliance matters. In 1990, LaRue became an associate attorney
with the Washington, Pennsylvania law firm of Melenzyer and Tershel,
where he performed probate, estate planning, real estate, business
law and bankruptcy law work, before opening his present practice
in Steubenville in 1991.
LaRue married the former Pamela Rose Ighnat of Steubenville, in
1986, and moved to Weirton, West Virginia. In 1995, he moved
back to Steubenville, where he now resides with his wife and their
two daughters, Michal Josephine, Age 13 and Alexandria Rose, Age
8.
David LaRue holds licenses to practice law in West Virginia and
Pennsylvania, as well as Ohio, and has actively practiced in all
three states. LaRue is also a licensed real estate title
insurance agent (Ohio and WV). In 2003, he received the Certified
in Long-Term Care designation (CLTC) from the Corporation for Certification
in Long-Term Care. He is a member of the Jefferson
County Bar Association and the West Virginia State Bar.
